How to Find / Basic Information
The Copper Dungeon, officially known as the Trial Chambers, generates primarily in the Deepslate layer, between Y=0 and Y=-64, making it a structure that is generally difficult to find naturally in Minecraft.
Multiple Copper Dungeons can exist within a single world. Inside, players can farm items through the core features of the structure, including Trial Spawners, Vaults, and various chests. These dungeons are also the main source of key items such as Wind Charges, Heavy Cores (used to craft the Mace), and Breeze Rods.

The easiest way to find a Copper Dungeon is by using a Cartographer villager. After leveling a cartographer up to Level 3 (Journeyman), there is a 66% chance that you can purchase a map leading to a Copper Dungeon. Since each villager sells a map pointing to a different dungeon, it is possible to explore multiple Copper Dungeons.
You can also use the command below to locate the nearest Copper Dungeon:

Trial Spawner / Vault Rewards
To open the Vaults, which are the main objective of the Copper Dungeon, you need either a Trial Key or an Ominous Trial Key. To obtain these keys, you must first complete Trial Spawner encounters and earn rewards from them. Because of the presence of Trial Spawners, hostile mobs do not naturally spawn inside Copper Dungeons.
Trial Spawner / Trial Keys
Trial Spawners are special mob spawners placed in reward rooms or corridors within the Copper Dungeon. When a player enters within 4 blocks, the spawner activates, and a wave-based trial begins. The number of monsters increases based on how many players are nearby, and the quality of the rewards improves accordingly. Once all spawned mobs are defeated, the trial is considered completed.
After completion, the Trial Spawner has a 30-minute cooldown, and the player who initiated the trial must remain logged in for the full 30 minutes for the cooldown to finish.

When a Trial Spawner is cleared, it has a 50% chance to reward players with a normal Trial Key along with other loot. However, if a player enters within 14 blocks while affected by the Bad Omen status effect, the Trial Spawner will transform into an Ominous Trial Spawner, significantly increasing both the difficulty and the quality of rewards. If you want to craft a Mace, you must clear an Ominous Trial Spawner and use the resulting Ominous Trial Key to open an Ominous Vault.
Additionally, Ominous Trials feature a special mechanic. While the spawned mobs are alive, each Trial Spawner periodically drops two lingering potions and arrows downward. Lingering potions have an 8-second cooldown, and arrows have a 6-second cooldown
- Normal Trial Spawner Rewards – Trial Key, Emeralds, Baked Potatoes, Glow Berries, Golden Carrots, Ender Pearls, Potion of Regeneration, Potion of Strength
- Ominous Trial Spawner Rewards – Ominous Trial Key, Steak, Baked Potatoes, Golden Carrots, Rotten Flesh, Potion of Regeneration, Potion of Strength

Vault Rewards
There are two types of vaults: Normal Vaults and Ominous Vaults. When approached, a vault opens its mouth and emits a colored glow, allowing players to distinguish between them. The surrounding blocks can also identify them. Normal Vaults are surrounded by carved copper blocks on the floor and nearby structures. The presence of oxidized copper grates around them can identify ominous Vaults. Each vault must be opened using its corresponding key to receive rewards.
A vault can only be opened once per player. However, in theory, if 129 different players open the same vault, the first player would be able to receive rewards from it again.
